Whats your favorite book?

Out of Africa written by Karen Blixen (Isak Dinesen). I read it in high school and it fueled my desire for travel.

Where does the name Leigh Maxwell come from?

Leigh is my middle name. It comes from my father (Lee). He was my biggest champion and my hero. Maxwell is my married name and comes from an equally great man in my life. 

Whats the best advice you’ve ever received?

My dad always told me "who needs luck when you have ability". When I was young I took it as a compliment that he didn't think I needed luck, but as I've grown older I realized it was meant more as an encouragement. He wanted me to work hard, accomplish difficult things and not rely on luck or chance to get me through life.  He was the hardest working person I've ever known and he instilled that work ethic in his children.
