Ancient Silver Hemidrachma Pendant

This ancient silver Sikyon hemidrachma features the dove, a time honored symbol of hope and peace. The reverse shows the chimera, a fire breathing creature of divine origin, sometimes believed to be a metaphor for the volcano of ancient Lycia. A slim 18K yellow gold bezel holds the coin and an opening bail allows it to be clipped to any of our chians, cords or beaded necklaces.
